Version 3.0 - Advanced Analytics

Version 3.0 introduces new ways for you to gain insight from your data.  You can analyze your data with our built-in suite of formulas or interact with your cube data using a wide range of powerful new OLAP features. 

Formulas

Perform powerful data analysis by interacting with your live dashboards and adding formulas on-the-fly.  Formulas can be created either by the dashboard designer, or by users viewing a dashboard. This allows for in-depth data analysis without having to write complex database queries, and brings this power to the hands of your business users.

Version 3.0 supports more than 50 out-of-the-box formulas, including:

• General / Forecasting (ex. Average, Delta, Sum, Trend, Forecast)
• Financial (ex. Momentum, Rate of Change, Moving Average Convergence-Divergence)
• Statistical (ex. Correlation, Standard Deviation, Percentile)

All formulas shipped with Dundas Dashboard make use of our formula add-on API, which allows you to create your own custom formulas.

New OLAP Features

Starting in version 3.0, our support for OLAP has been completely overhauled to provide users with a wide range of new features for both SSAS and SAP BW data sources. This includes:

• 9 new OLAP controls, including chart, grid, report selector and cube hierarchy viewer
• Custom MDX queries for unlimited flexibility
• Date/Time filtering, which allows users to filter dates and times with a calendar control
• Export to Excel, to quickly save your reports and share them with others
• SSAS actions, which allow you to run actions defined in your cube
